Meet Our Surgeon

Dr. Mona Sane

Eye Surgeon

Dr. Sane's journey in medicine began in India, where she graduated among the top three students from Government Medical College Nagpur. She pursued her first residency in ophthalmology at Aravind Eye Hospitals, one of the world’s largest and most esteemed eye care institutions. During her residency, Dr. Sane gained extensive experience performing high-volume cataract surgeries and managing a broad spectrum of ocular conditions. She became a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, London, as well as earned fellowship with the International Council of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Sane relocated to the United States, where she completed her second ophthalmology residency at SUNY Buffalo, and was selected to be the Chief Resident. Throughout her residency, she was recognized for her exceptional academic performance, earning the Certificate of Outstanding Academic Performance each year. In addition, she was awarded the prestigious ASCRS Foundation Resident Excellence Award in recognition of her dedication and skills.

She further refined her expertise with a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, where she received advanced training in LASIK, PRK, ICL, along with medical and surgical management of corneal diseases.

Dr. Sane has been serving the Bay Area since 2016, dedicated to providing exceptional ophthalmic care to the local community. With a focus on personalized treatment, she tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each patient.
